Palomino Blackwing Pencils
Claimed by some to be the best pencil in the world, Blackwings are famous for the quality of graphite, iconic shape, replaceable eraser, and the people whose works they’ve inspired throughout the years. Try one out for yourself.
Blackwing 602: Praised by Alex Beam of The Boston Globe and Mark Frauenfelder of Boing Boing, among others, the Palomino Blackwing 602 features a firm and smooth graphite core that helps it deliver on its promise of “Half the Pressure, Twice the Speed.”
Blackwing Pearl: The latest addition to the Blackwing family features a pearl white finish, black imprint and eraser, and a balanced and smooth graphite core that is softer than the graphite found in the Palomino Blackwing 602, but firmer than the graphite found in the Palomino Blackwing.
Blackwing: Ideal for illustrators and musicians who prefer a soft, dark line, the Palomino Blackwing was launched in October 2010 as a modern version of the iconic Eberhard Faber Blackwing 602 pencil that was favored by artists such as Stephen Sondheim and Chuck Jones. Palomino Blackwings boast a sophisticated matte black finish with pearl white erasers.
At the heart of every Palomino Original pencil is one of the world’s finest Japanese-crafted graphite cores. This core is encased in Genuine California Incense-cedar and finished with a smooth lacquer, giving every Palomino Original pencil exceptional sharpening performance and the look of quality that has come to be associated with Palomino products.
