The designer Mikayla uses her middle name, Mayumi, meaning 'tender' and 'refined' in Filipino to capture the essence of the brand's philosophy. Her vision for MAYUMI goes beyond simple adornment, aiming to create pieces that foster inclusivity and are cherished by those who value beauty, nature, and meaningful connections. DRAGON'S GARDEN namesake is personal reference to designer Shai’s creative process, representing a place where art is cultivated. This metaphorical garden is influenced by the dragon tattoo that wraps around Shai’s left arm, symbolizing the dragon’s role in shaping the art. Rather than seeing Dragon’s Garden as a traditional jewelry line, Shai views it as a style system designed to be versatile and functional. The goal is to create pieces that can be worn in multiple ways and to see how others incorporate these pieces into their lives.
