The east coast weather this season has been persistent with cold, gray days, so I’ve been playing relaxed beat tracks on repeat to pass time until the sun comes out. I love the wordplay of the track “Dis-ease”, a song about the upending of our lives in this age of Covid, and the ending of the track hit me like Jamiroquai’s “Virtual Insanity”, which feels timely again as we have to increasingly live our lives completely online. On that tip, Alexa, play The Cool Greenhouse. As always, heavy rotation for artists with Philly connects, this month Tierra Whack, Beverly Glenn-Copeland and Jazmine Sullivan.
