A 365-day, daily calendar designed to let you experience Japanese calligraphy through writing.

In Japanese, a single character can have a variety of meanings, uses, and heartfelt sentiments. We encounter kanji in our daily lives, and their spirits.

Koyomi is a design that makes it easy to experience Japanese calligraphy.

This daily calendar features a calligrapher's kanji, their meaning, stroke order, and space to write them, offering a spirit of harmony and a rich moment to forget the outside world and concentrate.

Nowadays, writing is becoming less and less common, so why not try writing characters with the mindset of "let's just try imitating them," focusing only on your breath, the sensations of your hand, the shape of the characters, and the feel of the brush? Rediscover the joy of writing, and by writing rather than just looking at them, the spirit embodied in kanji will become your own.

The cover of the special box is designed to resemble a Japanese folding screen. The central circle represents humans, while the four surrounding circles represent the changing seasons of nature, which are linked to the Japanese calendar. They express human society's harmony with nature, and the five rings represent the five continents, conveying the ever-expanding bonds of the world.

A perfect souvenir for overseas travel or a gift for a close friend, both giver and receiver can experience the beauty of Japan. In addition, the meanings of the kanji and the stroke order are included, making it a great gift to enjoy with children.

All paper is environmentally friendly. Carefully selected for its appearance, texture, and color combination with the characters, the product is made in Japan with high-quality materials.

Koyomi wanted to make traditional Japanese calligraphy more accessible and enjoyable in everyday life. They wanted to create something that conveys the spirit of Japan to people overseas.

"Koyomi" was started from this idea and was realized through a collaboration between calligrapher Taketoshi Suzuki, PAPER PEAK PRODUCTION, and FRAX TOKYO.
