The sight of these animals living vibrantly, set against the backdrop of homes and villages, naturally makes you want to imagine the stories behind them. With the HON making its debut in this collaboration, you’ll find a wide variety of designs to choose from.
A white cat waits at the front door, waving cheerfully in greeting, while the rabbits brew tea to serve alongside a slice of shortcake as a snack. They’re so adorable you can’t help but smile. The back cover features animals who live in a house made of books, all deeply engrossed in their reading — a fitting image for the HON.
The bookbinding on the HON has thread-stitch binding similar to the Hobonichi Techo books, so it opens 180 degrees onto the table. It stays flat even if you don’t hold it down. The book uses thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper. It's characterized by its ability to hold ink well and provide a smooth writing experience.
