The fall semester is here and everything still feels new. A schedule of 11am classes seemed like such a good idea at the time, but now the motivation to get an early start is slipping. Everything feels like a last minute rush, at least until you get the hang of things. Time to get going, or we'll be late. Do you have your keys? Phone charger? SEPTA pass? Wait, what side of the platform am I supposed to be on again?
Tomorrow I'll set my alarm for 8am. Maybe. No matter. All the more time to check your fit, pack your bag, and get some last-minute work done on your commute. Don't forget your ID.
It's another busy day on campus and distractions abound. Class starts in 15 minutes, just enough time to intercept my pal who takes the earlier session. But first, let me drop off this library book.
Do I have time for an iced coffee? I could really go for a bagel.
These days my schedule fills up by the minute. There's lectures to get to, and a group project meeting if the chat ever decides on a time. Then a late session at the Tech Center to finish up a paper that's due tomorrow. Pit stop at the 7-11 for some caffeine. It's gonna be a long day.
Slow moments in between classes keep me going. On my break, I watch the sea of students just trying to make it through another week. We're all in this together, though sometimes I forget.
