Accessibility at Omoi

Updated April 4th, 2022

Accessibility on OmoiOnline.com

Because we want our website to be easier to use and more accessible to people with disabilities, we are using the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget, which is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows OmoiOnline.com to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).

Enabling the Accessibility Menu

The OmoiOnline.com accessibility menu can be enabled by clicking the accessibility menu icon that appears at the bottom right of the page. After triggering the accessibility menu, please wait a moment for the accessibility menu to load in its entirety.

Disclaimer

Admittedly, due to our small staff, we only have the capacity to offer accessibility services via the UserWay widget. The widget should make all pages and content on OmoiOnline.com fully accessible, but some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.

Get In Touch

If you are experiencing difficulty with any content on OmoiOnline.com, require assistance with any part of our site, or have questions related to visiting our storefront, please send a message on our Contact page or call 215-454-6910 during store hours (info in our footer), and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Accessibility at our Old City storefront

There is a very small (barely there) step and slight lip at the bottom of our front double door. We do not have a ramp.

We typically keep one door open, but can quickly open both doors if needed.

There are no stairs to climb and the space is spacious for wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers.

We often burn scented candles and incense.

Because of the pandemic, we have removed our sitting chairs.

Pandemic Precautions

While the City of Philadelphia has dropped all masking and gathering limitations in early 2022, the fully vaxxed and boosted staff at Omoi is still masking up at work.

We request masks for everyone who shops with us, out of consideration for ourselves and each other.

Good to Know:
We are experiencing an increase in unmasked customers coming in to the shop. We actively request people to mask up, and offer complimentary masks when we can, but during busy hours, the store can be too bustling to enforce this house rule.
