Please join us on Friday, October 24th for a pop-up with Philadelphia's own Candy Apple Comics! From 12-6pm, Candy Apple Comics will be in the shop with us to chat and sell their wares including hand-drawn zines, comics, and stickers.
Candy Apple Comics, is the creative works of OMOI Shop Staff, Cat! We are so excited to host Cat in the shop and help share their art with YOU!
Notes from the artist: "The comics I write and draw originate in the day-to-day moments of my life. Sometimes I’ll find myself laughing at a situation I’ve found myself in, and I’ll think to myself, “Hey! That would make a funny little comic!” Other times, like when I found myself struggling to quit nicotine, I’ll realize that my life has grown dark and frightening, and the best thing I could do for myself was to confront my thoughts and fears and lay them on the page. I hope my comics act as a healing balm to the heart and soul, providing comfort, humor, and companionship in the slices of life we all inhabit."
