Since the last meetup in June, our customers were asking when the next TRAVELER'S notebook meetup would be. We try to plan them at least three times a year, coordinated with major TRAVELER'S Company releases. The 2020 planner items were scheduled to drop internationally in autumn, but we didn't have a date for when they'd arrive in our shops. So in the midst of our September back to school campaigns and with the busy holiday season practically around the corner, we opted for an October meetup.
October 10th was a Friday in Philadelphia's Old City neighborhood. The weather was transitioning its way from balmy to brisk, as the planet continued on its orbit around the sun, and as the daylight faded we rearranged the shop to accommodate all the TRAVELER'S fans who would soon fill it up. Please enjoy our visual log. We actually held a really fun contest this time, where three randomly chosen attendees had to wear a blindfold and then find their journal out of everyone's within 30 seconds or less. Sorry to say we didn't get any photos of that, but you can imagine the absolute giddy mayhem it evoked. Now enjoy!
The TRAVELER'S Company website has a special downloads page where we printed out these stamp collector inserts.
Last meetup's scrap table was so popular we brought it back.
Our regulars, @funkiaa and @racqham were right at home around the table.
Two attendees break away from the main group to check out our TRC department.
A pair of regulars discovered the meetup and were compelled to start their own journey with TRAVELER'S
@racqham's BTS centric journal has made an appearance at every meetup so far.
We were lucky enough to have the TRAVELER'S Factory stamps on hand again for everyone to enjoy.
Time to cut up all that nice paper and pristine magazines for journaling purposes.
The action intensifies.
@funkiaa gets to paper cutting.
For meetups we provide access to our special store masking tape, and attendees go to town!
Owner Liz brought in her AMAZING high school planner from her time as an exchange student in Kobe, Japan.
@funkiaa made a special request to photograph these outrageous cat stickers we had available.
A busy atmosphere builds around the stamp table.
Then, right after our blindfold contest, @funkiaa suggested everyone open to their favorite spread and to take some photos. Obviously, a great idea cause here are the pics!
It was so cool to see everyone's personal style in how they use their TN.
Group photo time everybody!!
Ok this photo is 100% in the style of your mother begging you to stop making faces so we can have a nice picture. No begging was actually involved. Everyone looks so nice!
That's all for the fall meetup. This one was really fun, thank you to everyone who attended! As before, it was a wholesome nerdy stationery loving good time. As of the publishing of this recap we now have the 2020 planner inserts & accessories and limited edition Partner Shop-only Travel Tools collection in stock at all shops. Thanks for reading, thanks for looking, and see you next time.
If you have an interest in TRAVELER'S Company or other stationery lines we carry, make sure to check out our Campus Shop or visit our Old City or Rittenhouse locations in Philadelphia. We'll chat you up and show you around.
